SAHARA TOURS FROM FES:

4 Day Tour From Fes to Marrakech Via Sahara Desert

We organize Fes trips that are completely private and customised. A tailored Fes to Desert package is always available.

1st day : Fes - Middle Atlas - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert - Camel trek and overnight in the Berber tent

Our desert excursion begins at your Fes riad or hotel. We will be picked up by a local driver from See Around Morocco, a reputable Moroccan travel company, and we will journey across the Atlas Mountains.

We will take you up from your hotel/riad and drive you from Fes to Ifran, a picturesque mountain village known as "Morocco's Switzerland," and then to Midelt. You'll get sights of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains during this excursion. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the heart of Morocco's famous cedar forest, where you're likely to see Barbary apes. Our journey continues to Midelt through the magnificent Atlas hills and mountains; after Midelt, you will travel through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau; after Errachidia, you will travel along the lush Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga. You'll be greeted with a glass of mint tea before embarking on a camel ride across Merzouga's golden sand sea, led by an experienced camel man. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where you will be sleeping.

2nd Day : Merzouga Desert - Nomads Families - Tisardmin Oasis - Khamlia Village - Erg Chebbi

This is the epitome of a desert day. “Sunrise date” is a phrase that means “dating with the sunrise.” If you're in the midst of the desert, it's well worth getting up early to see the most amazing sunrise you've ever seen from the top of a dune near the camp and take in this natural wonder. We return to Merzouga on camels after sunrise, where a sumptuous breakfast awaits us. Then we'll go around the Erg Chebbi, a large stretch of sandy desert where we can see Morocco's Big Dune, which is more than 250 meters high. We next continue on the road that was previously utilized for the "Paris - Dakar" race, which ends in the highlands that border Agelia. Stopping in Tissardmin oasis, where we can still see fossil quarries, we continue on a route where we can observe nomad settlements and learn about their secrets and customs. The next stop will be at a lookout point to take in the beauty of Erg Chebbi. We will next arrive at Kamilia Village, which is originally from Mali, where we can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while listening to a concert of Gnawa spiritual music. Transfer to your hotel and spend the afternoon exploring the town or watching the sunset from the dunes close to the hotel. In the motel for dinner and the night.

3rd Day : Merzouga Desert - Rissani Market - Erfoud Fossil’s - Todra Gorges - Dadés Valley

After breakfast, we leave the desert for Rissani, where we will visit the market (market days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), and then on to Erfoud, where we will see the fossilized marble factories before heading to the Touroug and Tinjdad palm plantations. We'll arrive in the Todra Gorges, one of the nicest sites in the High Atlas, an hour later. The river's passage has carved out a cliff-sided canyon, which is particularly popular among climbers due to its beauty and high rock sides. Free time to eat lunch in this beautiful location. A brief walk through the gorges is highly recommended to fully enjoy the landscape's splendor. We will proceed to the Dadès valley, also known as the fig valley, in the afternoon, passing through Boumalne Dadés and stopping at the "monkey legs." At the Dadès gorges for dinner and the night.

4th Day : Dadés Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

After breakfast, we may take in one of the best views of the Dadès valley from a strategic lookout in the mountains, where we can take in the large number of kasbahs and their aesthetic features. Then we travel along a route lined with other tourist-oriented kasbahs. We'll arrive in Ouarzazate and see the Kasbah of Taourirt, the historic house of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha, after various pauses to appreciate the "One Thousand Kasbahs Road," the Roses Valley, and the large Skoura palm forest.

We can also go to the cinema studios and the tue cinema museum if you're interested. We will halt an hour from Ouarzazate in the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou to explore the famed Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO). Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, and more well-known films have been shot on this stunning stage. Lunch hour in town is free. We begin our journey to Marrakech in the afternoon, passing through the mountain port of Tizi Ntichka and making a few photo stops along the way. We now leave the moonscape behind to arrive at a colorful scene. We will arrive in Marrakech at 6 p.m., be transferred to the hotel, and our services will be completed.
